Destruction: Flame Cloak wraps you in flames, burning any enemies that get close. Here are a few core components of this build: This makes sense, considering you're in the coldest part of Tamriel. Rather than having to wait for a sunny day to burn bugs with a magnifying glass, you can just shoot fire out of your hands.įire is great in this game because not many enemies resist it. Skyrim gives you several opportunities to burn down your enemies. When I was a kid, we used to call one friend of mine a pyro. My personal favorites are #2 and #3, but I'm a weirdo. That's why I put together a few different mage builds to try. I found that by specializing, you give the game much more replayability and you'll probably have more fun. But over time I realized it wasn't how I really wanted to play, so I re-rolled. The very first character I build in Skyrim was going to be a generalist. And no - just because you're roleplaying doesn't mean you need to speak like you just stepped out of Medieval Times. This allows you to focus on just a few schools and roleplay more. You invest points in every single school and enchanting, making you a jack-of-all-trades but a master of none. The way I see it, there are two main ways to play mages in Skyrim: But it sounds like you already own Classic, so you may want to go with that.because you are going to play as a mage, right? If you're a first time modder, I'd go with SSE.
CANT GET RID OF SKYRIM SPECIAL EDITION CODEX MOD
SSE is better for stability and user-friendliness, and the mod scene is already very fleshed out. TLDR: Classic has more variety of mods, but you need to be willing to do research and put in more work into making it stable and playable.
CANT GET RID OF SKYRIM SPECIAL EDITION CODEX MODS
With Classic, there are excellent mods - but also a lot of outdated stuff that you'll have to read up on and make sure it won't cause problems. Meaning that the mods that are ported over are generally more reliable and tend to come from experienced mod authors. But most of the active modding community is only updating for SSE. Meaning less crashes.Ĭlassic has more mods, and there are some mods that are only available on Classic. SE is more user-friendly, in that it starts off better graphically without having to mess with it (unless you want to) and it is way, WAY more stable.
